Hoops
1. Semester Interaction Design
Group Project: Niklas Henning, Lorenz Schleske, Ronja Pecher
Hoops is a fun board game testing agility and creativity, for one or more players.
Aim
With more and more people glued to screens 24/7 we wanted to create a fun board game that would never become boring and could be played by different age Groups alone or in teams.
With sustainablility in mind we also tried to make as much of it out of wood as possible.
Results
Hoops is inspired by the dog-sport "Hoopers" and the board game "marble Labyrinth".
The players need to set up a course and guide a marbel through it. Depending on the chosen course and wether or not touching the boarders is allowed, the game varies in difficulty.
By turning the wheels on the side of the box, the levels are moved independently of each other. The aim is to guide a marble through a parkour you have set up yourself, Alternatively, course suggestions from the instructions can be used.
Almost entirely made out of wood, Hoops is testing the agility of the players while also challenging their creativity with setting up a suitable course.
